I have been an Instructional Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago since 2024. Previously, I was an Eyes High Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Calgary, a position I started after completing my PhD at the California Institute of Technology. I am originally from Nebraska and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

I am passionate not only about geophysics, but also about the connections between geophysics and communities, striving to make a positive and equitable impact through research, teaching, and service.

Outside of work, I can be found:

  • Reading (favorite book: The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin)

  • Hiking

  • Watching Jeopardy

  • Birdwatching

  • Knitting & crocheting
